Last year, we launched a campaign for all homeowners to paint their units by May 1, 2024. Many of our neighbors have answered the call to action and their units look AMAZING! Special shout out to the owners of #12, #19, #24, #25, #27, #29, #35, #45, #61, #63, and #67! Unfortunately, many units have not been painted. To be as flexible as possible, we extended the deadline to June 30, 2024! If a homeowner still cannot paint by June 30, please submit a Plan to Paint by that deadline instead. If granted, the Plan to Paint will extend the deadline to November 30, 2024. To submit a Plan to Paint, email us the following: 1. Date of completion (must be November 30, 2024, or sooner) 2. Main Body Color choice 3. Door Color choice 4. At least 1 cost estimate from a painting vendor as an attachment a. If painting yourself, please provide an estimated cost of supplies Any unit not painted by November 30, 2024 will be subject to penalties such as fines of $100/day until the unit is painted or a lien levied against the property. We want to avoid unfortunate consequences and ask all homeowners to either paint by June 30, or submit a Plan to Paint. We are motivated to see the revitalization of Village Square continue! We have a new color! A few neighbors expressed their distaste for “Koi Pond,” one of the Main Body Colors, so we replaced it with SW6179 – “Artichoke.” (See right) ' This gorgeous green is a coordinate of all door colors and is a striking addition to our Main Body Color palette. Paint Guidelines - Overview The HOA Board of Directors is pleased to announce fresh guidelines for homeowners to paint their units. These guidelines are intended to optimize personalization while maintaining a consistent look throughout our neighborhood. (Units with vinyl siding are exempt from painting, however, must be pressure washed regularly to maintain a clean appearance.) Many homeowners have expressed an interest in painting their units. We want to encourage the revitalization of Village Square as much as possible! Homeowners must choose 1 main body color and 1 door color. All main body colors are coordinates with all door colors. Homeowners are free to choose whatever main body color and door color they prefer, however, we encourage collaboration between neighbors to avoid next-door units being the same main body color. All trim and dividing walls between units must be the same color: SW7005 Pure White. The Board worked carefully with painting professionals to choose colors that are complementary to the landscape and will cover existing paint as efficiently as possible. Date for Completion All homeowners must paint their units in accordance with these guidelines by May 1, 2024. Recommended Vendors The Board has provided a list of recommended vendors for services like pressure washing, painting, and home repair services which are posted on the "Links & Resources" page.
